Wichita has a vibrant nightlife, multicultural events, outdoors adventures, arts and varied entertainment, and more. Located in the Great Plains region, it has so many unique features. On its fringes are attractions like the Kansas Cosmosphere and Space Center. The location of Wichita is prime real estate. There are places to see and things to do there that will meet any tourist's need for fun and enjoyment.

Places to see

Botanica, The Wichita Gardens

It ends up that Holland doesn't have a premium on tulips after all. In Wichita's Botania, tulips abound, sharing space with other floral varieties such as daffodils and hyacinths. There are also magnolia trees. Not only is this a garden, but it's a horticultural center for the region. A bird and butterfly garden are encased within the splendor of the garden, as are fountains spraying their mists. So much more is found in the garden, including Downing Children's Garden, the newest addition.

Museum of World Treasures

A place of discovery days and treasure tales, this gem is full of exhibits from many times gone by; including the age of the dinosaur and ancient periods.

The Keeper of the Plains

This keeper is actually a statue, topping off at 44 feet. It stands guard where the Big and Little Arkansas River join forces. Native Americans are there. Be sure to check out the Twilight Plaza and Bridge while there.
